<p>I took it yesterday along with French and Math 2 (i sucked with math 2; skipped like 10) and there was only one question on math 1 i couldnt do. could you help me out please? i wont post the exact question just somethign similar.</p>

<p>it sad that segment AB was a cord on a circle that was parallel to the diameter of the circle; the diamater is segment CD. then it sad that AB (it didtn have the little line over it, so i was confused about whether or not it was still a line segment) was 4 cm long, and that CD (again, no little line) was 8 cm long. now the quesiton: what is the distance between the diameter and the chord?</p>

<p>I have 2 square root 5 as my answer.</p>

<p>i think that might be right… the values i provided were actually double those on the test. and square root of 5 was an answer choice.</p>

<p>could you explain how to work it?</p>
