Math Subject Tests for UC system

I'm definitely not a math person, but I hear for UC schools you are required to take a math SAT subject test. Do they prefer mathIIc?

Regardless of whether I take mathI or IIc, I predict I'll get somewhere in the low to mid 600's on either test.

Would getting a score like that on the math subject test significantly lower my chance of admissions to UCLA even if I had a 2300 SAT and other subject tests 750+, as well as a 4.3 UC GPA?

Thanks!

they only accept math IIC.
Depends, what are you planning to major in?
If engineering, math IIC is a must.

Um I'm definitely not going to major in engineering or anything very mathy, like physics or chemistry.

Are you saying mathIIc is required for all applicants? Or only engineering applicants? Please clarify.

Thanks.

if you do math subject test, they only take the score of mathIIC

cookietime:

With a 2300 SAT I and ~750 SAT IIs, but ~600 SAT Math IIC,

UCLA: Match

Math 2 (now called Level 2... not IIC lol) is NOT required for UC admissions... Math 2 and Physics are preffered for engineers, but you said you aren't doing that, so any 2 SAT subject tests will be fine.
