Is there a first year math course I can register for without taking the SAT subject test? I'm planning to take as little math as possible (being a Journalist, I won't need it. Plus, I hate it with a passion) and would prefer not to take the test if I'm able to get around it in any way. Thanks in advance, guys.

You can get credit for taking Math 302. (The prerequisites for every class are in the web site in the Registrar area.) If you need a year of math you could take one semester of Math 302 and one semester of Math 305, the math class that people often test out of with SAT scores.
