Math Transfer Credit at Cal, Pre-Haas

<p>I am an incoming freshman and have taken Math 260 at CSU San Marcos. Although Cal and CSUSM do not have a credit transfer agreement, several of my friends have received Math 53 credit after talking to an adviser of some sort. How do I go about doing this?
Also, if I do receive Math 53 credit, will I no longer have to take a Mathematics course at Cal as a pre req for Haas (I've scored a 5 on BC)?</p>
