Hey. I plan to major in math and probably go to grad school for math. I love math very much, but I also am obsessed with Vassar. How is the math department? I figure because of the small core, I can do more math courses, but will the small size of the department hurt when it comes to grad school?

It will probably help you, as you will get much personal attention, guidance, help, and better rec letters from the profs. As long as they offer enough courses in subjects which interest you, it will be a plus. That is a big "if," so check course catalogues and give the department a call. See if they offer enough for you to be happy.

Thank you.
