ey it dont matter what level of math you take for med school rite?
like even if i take a year of pre-calc or even algebra it don't make a difference as long as it is one year?

Most med schools that require math specify at least one semester of calculus.

i go to UCB and will take the math 16series
heres the desc: This sequence is intended for majors in the life and social sciences. Calculus of one variable; derivatives, definite integrals and applications, maxima and minima, and applications of the exponential and logarithmic functions.

this fulfills med school reqs rite?

your schools premed advisors (which I realize are nearly nonexistent at UCB) would have a much better idea regarding what specific courses meet the requirements. at first blush though, that course sounds fine. Keep in mind that some schools recommend a semester of stats, and a handful of the top schools require a second semester of calculus.

yea ima take two semesters of such a course (mentioned above) and stats so its all good
and btw, advisors are very much in existence at UCB as much as they are at panzy private schools
ya?

does the math course have a name? i'm betting it's calc I.

actually, UCB is pretty notorious for having absolutely horrendous premed advising, irrespective of its public/private status. Something to keep in mind as you move towards applying, ya?
