Math17 series and Chem 2 series

Should I take both…or just opt out of chem and do the 17 series math first?

I’m scared that I might not be able to handle both at the same time, but that does mean I will be behind a quarter…

Advice, anyone?

I am in the Biological sciences

I’m majoring in Biological Sciences too. I guess it just depends on how you manage your time . If you know that you’ll study and take academics seriously, then you should be fine. Also, keep in mind that biosci majors take on the BIS series as well. I think it’s better to start chem in the fall so that you can transition into the BIS series and not be overwhelmed winter quarter. I’m taking Mat17a, chem, and a GE.

dang, i’m 10th on the waiting list for chem…do you think i would be able to get in…x_x probably not…

You had your pass 2 already? Lucky!! I’m trying to get out of CHE 2AH and into CHE 2A. If you’re 10th, I’ll probably be 200th by the time my pass 2 rolls around.

I’m lucky I’m majoring in a social science…I got all the classes I needed!

How did you guys waitlist? Find the CRN in the booklet and enter it? And for the waitlists, did you waitlist a closed or open course?

i waitlisted a closed course

@ iProcrastinate, I just kept refreshing the open course list. It took me over 90 minutes to finally get a Chem 2A. Somehow, a CRN just came up with 1 spot (:

I took both of them together, along with work, internship and other classes. Uh… I did fine. You will find that a lot of people take both of them together. Almost everyone in Mat17 will be taking chem at the same time.
