<p>I’m majoring in Biological Sciences too. I guess it just depends on how you manage your time . If you know that you’ll study and take academics seriously, then you should be fine. Also, keep in mind that biosci majors take on the BIS series as well. I think it’s better to start chem in the fall so that you can transition into the BIS series and not be overwhelmed winter quarter. I’m taking Mat17a, chem, and a GE.</p>
<p>You had your pass 2 already? Lucky!! I’m trying to get out of CHE 2AH and into CHE 2A. If you’re 10th, I’ll probably be 200th by the time my pass 2 rolls around.</p>
<p>@ iProcrastinate, I just kept refreshing the open course list. It took me over 90 minutes to finally get a Chem 2A. Somehow, a CRN just came up with 1 spot (:</p>
<p>I took both of them together, along with work, internship and other classes. Uh… I did fine. You will find that a lot of people take both of them together. Almost everyone in Mat17 will be taking chem at the same time.</p>
