Just picked up the book today and I'm taking the test next Saturday. At this point, is it even worth it to go through all of the review? Right now I'm up to trig and it seems pretty dense; I doubt that most of this stuff won't show up on the test.

Is Kaplan too easy if I switch to that? I probably would go through barrons if I had the time, but I have finals this week.

i’m a junior in calc BC and i took the math 2c in May. here’s what i did to prepare (in just one week!!!)

i took the diagnostic test (which i scored 710) and just studied the topics i didn’t understand well. after my second practice exam i scored around 780.

i took it that saturday, and my scores came in a few days ago. i scored 800! wooooh!
i thought the actual test was really easy compared to the one in barrons. i’ve been hearing a lot of people say the tests in barrons is a lot harder than the real one.

and the questions are like those “you-either-know-it-or-not” questions. remember to work fast, and i’d definitely recommend a graphing calculator. keep in mind that the ti89 is not accepted!

hope i helped! :)

edit: so i know i said a lot of things, but take the diagnostic first to see how what level you’re at. i’d advise to not time yourself on the diagnostic. use it to see what you understand and what you don’t.

I’m a Junior in Precalculus. I went through the entire review book and did all the practice problems, then took three practice tests and reviewed the wrong answers, in about 5 days. I got a 790. The book is very helpful, even though I had to learn a ton of things that we didn’t cover in Precalculus (parametric functions, limits, 3-D coordinate geometry, etc.). I personally would just use the Barron’s book and hope for the best.

oh dear! I am extremely sorry for my comment. OtherWindow is right, the ti89 is accepted. for some reason, I thought about the ACT instead when I was making the comment.
