mathematical economic analysis

doe anyone kno if this is close to business than just regular economics. would a degree in this from a top 20 school help me more with investment banking than just regular econ? dont really want to do undergrad business, but am i correct in assuming that this major would be sufficient for top MBA school consideration?

dude a degree from a top 20 school is always better than some no name school. its brand name appeal

Your major will not be that important for MBA considerations. What will be important is the work experience you gain after graduation. A major in mathematical economic analysis will open plenty of doors into finance; however, if your school is not a "target" you will likely have to go into the business school of your school in order to get into IB right out of undergrad.
