Hello!

I've been having a tough time finding this on RPI's website, but for anyone that would know, can you help me?
How does the math program at RPI prepare someone for a future career like an actuary?

Thanks!

I know this isn’t exactly answering your question, but you’d probably want to go with Mathematics of Operations Research or something of the sort. You’d also probably end up taking almost all of your non-core math classes in the MATP (Mathematical Programming, Probability, and Statistics) category, rather than MATH.

willigetin? Have you seen this site : [Be An Actuary](<a href=“Be An Actuary”>Be An Actuary) There is a lot of useful information about the actuarial exams. Besides math classes, it would also be helpful to take economics, accounting and general business classes while in college.

I met one person who is doing that, so I know it can be done. I don’t know if they have a specific program for it though. I think Cesium55 is right though…
