Mathematics A.B. or Sc.B.?

On the anticipated degree and academic interest section of the online Brown application, does it make a difference whether I put Mathematics a.b. or sc.b.? Because if it makes no difference, I can just put a.b… Otherwise I need to put a.b. & sc.b. because my 2nd and 3rd choices for possible concentrations are philosophy and linguistics (which are a.b.). Does this even really matter?

Thanks!

I also put math ab on my ED app. but dunno if you're really obliged to take the type of degree you specified on your app.

The application simply changes slightly if you are going for ScB in some areas. For instance, they want to know why Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, or Biology (I am not sure if this is for math as well).

in the app math is not specified for that extra essay. but you need a extra rec from a science teacher for a ScB degree :)

crap

When I originally submitted my application online, I said "Undecided" for my concentration choices. But when I received iin the mail the form to make changes, I put German, biology, and chemistry as my majors. Does that mean I should have done those essays for chemistry? I'm not sure what order I listed them in.

but I also put AB/PLME, so does it matter then?

if you're a girl than putting an sc b for math will help you

I am, so I guess I'll put be putting the combined Sc.B. and A.B. Great! Thanks for your help.

That extra rec (I think it's form 4C that you're talking about) can be a math teacher, right? Should be one, in my case, I would think.

well, most probably, yes. I've given my math teacher to complette form 4B and would have given form 4C to another science techer if aplied for ScB. anyway you know that a BA&ScB degree requires 5 years in college, right?

Point of note: Once you get here, no one will care what you put on your application.
