Mathematics-Computer Science at UCSD or Mathematics of Computation at UCLA

As you can tell, these two majors are the alternatives I have for the schools. Since I did not get accepted into CS in neither schools and the chance of me changing major to CS after I transfer is close to nonexistent. I would really like to know which one will fit my situation better. I am aiming for a programmer job after I graduate. Thank you, any tips would be great!

Either is fine, and you won’t have a problem getting a programming job after you graduate. If I had it to do all over again, I’d probably go for the type of hybrid degree mentioned above rather than the straight CS degree that I now have.

UC San Diego is in La Jolla which translates to the Jewel. Lots of tech companies in North County San Diego.
