I have my SAT II maths IC test in 12 days (i think) and I want to score atleast 700. This will be my first time.
I've done alot of practice tests but as the 1 hour ends, I could only finish up to question 35~38!
I think it's because I write the general formulas down first and that takes up time.. But I really need to jot these down because they don't stay in my head for long.

So how do you guys finish all the questions quickly?
Do you not write anything? Do you do most of the working out in your head (faster than a calculator)?
How??

I don't have to write the general formulas down, and do most of the simpler calculations in my head. If you know the material, practice doing lots of simple problems to sharpen your arithmetic skills.

Also, you should really commit those formulas to your head.

You shouldn't really be able to finish all 50 unless you are realllllllly good at math. What I do is skip around. Look at each problem, and if it seems like you can get it quickly, do it. If not, work on the numbers under 40 first, then if you have time, go to 40+ and see if you can answer anymore questions. That way you get all the easier ones right, and the harder ones you will end up leaving blank if you don't have time.

Getting a 700 or higher isn't too hard. I took it without having a math in 6 months and virtually had no prep, just looked at the Reals. I skipped 9 and probably missed another 6-9 and still got a 690.

Even though I took IIC, I programmed my calculator with useful equations like distance between point and line and the quadratic formula. Saved me ~1-2 minutes per problem like that.
