<p>Which dorm is better? Major doesn't matter.</p>
<p>Mattia would be air conditioned, rooms slightly larger than Davidson. Davidson A is an all male dorm, not sure about Mattia- it was all male at one time. Mattia I believe has 4 foors with about 32 rooms from 2 floor on. So you have quite of few kids under on roof which makes for the odds of you finding some friends you click with better. Davidson has 4 separate h shaped buildings, each with only 1 floor with about 30 something rooms - lets say 60 + kids. Of course you will and can interact with the other buildings, but Davidson is a little more isolated. Hope this helps somewhat.</p>
<p>uh…actually, major DOES matter. Mattia is only for engineers while Davidson is mixed. Both are all male dorms. Mattia has air conditioning while Davidson doesn’t, so it gets hot as hell in Davidson. Mattia people are friendlier than those at Davidson. Mattia is also cleaner compared to Davidson. If you look online, Davidson is listed as one of the worst dorms at Rutgers - NB.</p>
<p>Overall, Davidson sucks, and you should try to avoid it as much as possible (and that is, if you have the power to choose).</p>
<p>Why does Davidson suck? I got Davidson B. I walked around the halls and I liked it. It was really cute. The rooms are also huge! I know there’s no AC, but the halls, rooms, and overall design of the buildings looked very nice. The inner area of the “H” has benches, a bike rack, trees, shrubs. The big green field in the middle seems perfect for ultimate frisbee, and other sports. They seem like college-y dorms to me :)</p>
<p>I think that some people don’t like Davidson because it is kind of out of the way and it can be hot at the beginning of the fall term (no a/c).</p>
<p>Yeah, I was kind of bummed out at the no-AC too. I have since bought a high-tech window fan, 2 box fans, and a dehumidifier which should do the trick. :P</p>
<p>Rooms at Davidson are not “huge” compared to other dorm rooms on Busch. Also, the bench right in front of the building as well as “the big green field in the middle” are usually occupied by smokers who blatantly ignore the 20 ft rule. Since Davidson isn’t AC’ed, many students open their windows in addition to having a fan. Then you will be overwhelmed by the stringent stench of cigarette.</p>
