My son will be living in the dorms (Easton Hall) at UMD in the fall. On the residential life page, it says that the mattresses are regular twin size; however, the program my son is attending now instructed him to bring twin XL sheets. Which is the correct size?
Dorm beds at UMD have Twin size mattresses. My oldest son lived in Easton for 2 years and have another who just stayed in Easton for orientation. Easton has new mattresses that will eventually be throughout all the dorms (at least that’s what we were told) that are slightly thicker than the old ones but still not as thick as a standard mattress you would have at home. Many students use an additional foam memory pad on top but we have found you can still use a twin size sheet. At orientation someone asked this question and we were told Twin, not TwinXL.
I agree - twin.
