Does anyone know the maximum amount of credits that one can take before the college starts charging you more for the classes? Thanks

Anything above 8 (or 9?) credits is basically a flat fee.

I took 21 for a few semesters with no extra charge, but that was a while back.

There is no charge for taking more than X amount of credits. Take as many credits as you want beyond 12 and not die after finishing that semester.

Note: Please don't take 19+ credits unless you know you can handle it.

19 is basically the best amount to go for

there is an overall credit limit before you get charged -- I can't find the exact details right now (though I need to because I'm dangerously close to this limit I know) but its something like if you have over 130 credits by the end of your 6th semester, you can get charged for an additional semester...

Anyone that has the real numbers, if you could post them -- that would be great

I read somewhere that 17 was the maximum number of credits you can take per semester. Or am I mistaken?

The maximum amount of credits without premission from your advisor and school's dean is 17 for CLAS, SARC, NURS, and COMM (minimum being 12) and 19 for SEAS (minimum being 15). Just get approval from those two people and you're on your way.
