Max possible GPA

What is the maximum possible GPA at UCLA?
Can we raise it above 4.0 by taking honor (, etc.) courses?

Max is 4.0 No honors or anything at UCLA

^ To qualify the above statement, there are honors classes, but they don’t do anything to your GPA that a normal class doesn’t.

and I assume this would be the same for all colleges…

Some colleges give a 4.3 average for A+'s. UCLA gives A+'s but they count for 4 points just like A’s. I don’t think the 4.3 is common though.

thanks… (I like your username btw C: )

Well if you cure cancer or bring about world peace, then you might get a 4.1 for that.

4.0 is 4.0 is 4.0.

Honestly though, I don’t remember meeting anyone at UCLA with a 4.0. Maybe one person?

College is not like high school, grade wise. Enjoy that first “bad” grade. :p

I know pre-meds (who aren’t first years) with a 4.0…

…makes me wanna cry.

Gotlactose,

Those are what we call “future dermatologists.”

Even the people I know with a 39+ on the MCAT don’t have a 4.0.

And happy belated 6th anniversary to UCLAri.

Oh goodness, don’t congratulate me on that… :p
