maximum amount of units to transfer?

Generally speaking, what is the maximum amoung of units a transfer can have to still be considered eligible? Do they count all units taken or just units taken that goes toward my major? I'm just wondering because it looks like I'll be going to a JC for 3 years to transfer instead of two and rack up about 75 credits. Is this going to be a problem?

thanks for the help!

75-80 is definitley the max you should get. People with more tend to have problems almost everywhere.

and they count all of them, not just ones that count toward your major

i know lots of universities only allow you to transfer after your second year and no later.....most top name Unis require you to attend there for 2 years before you can graduate with one of their degrees. and the max number of credits will be around 60
this is just speaking for like UVa, UNC, NYU and such....i haven't looked in to many more than those 3

At 99.9% of colleges/universities, you have to take AT LEAST 54 credits at the school you transfer in to

i jus tknow for a fact you can't transfer in as a senior...you MUST transfer in after youyr second year or before

You are absolutly correct. Transferring as a first semester junior is the highest they will accept you as.
