Does anyone know what is the maximum that it's possible to get in Merit aid at RPI?

The most I’ve heard of from a single award is $20k/yr, although I’ve heard them stack as high as $30k/yr (but I’ve only heard this second-hand, so it could be wrong…).

Even so, getting $30k per year would require quite an impressive set of credentials. Good luck to your S/D!

I looked at last spring’s acceptance thread, and it seems most on there received either a $5000 or $10,000 ‘leadership’ scholarship; those with the RPI medal getting $15,000. Some also received grants, some didn’t.

Cached, are you talking having heard about multiple merit awards stacking to 30K, or merit plus need-based grants? (I appreciate that the info is second-hand, but still interested in exactly what you’ve heard).

Thanks cached and mamabear!

I have three merit based scholarships that total $25K from RPI. The medal is $15k, housing scholarship is $5k and another $5k scholarship. Though they are phasing out the housing scholarship and not giving it anymore.

What I understood is that someone had a $20k leadership award, $5k housing scholarship, and $5k godknowswhat scholarship.

Apparently (as mentioned above) the housing scholarship is being phased out, so it might no longer be possible.
