What is the maximum of getting Bs an admitted applicant have? I’m really worried because my mid-year report is not looking good.

I don't understand your statement

I'm sure Bs are ok.

Cs are what you should worry about.

If you're getting the Bs in tough AP classes, then it's OK. If you've always been a straight A student it's bad. If you have absolutely no As it's also bad. Other than that, chill!

Context > grades.

Is one C+ in an AP class going to kill my chances?

Welcome to the Brown thread :D

haha. oops. :p

i'm getting a B in AP Calc BC =( Just thought I'd take this opportunity to complain/share my worry.

4.72 Bs is an automatic rejection.
It's in the application, guys, sheesh.

Bs are fine.

its multiple Cs or a D that you have to worry about.

How many Cs are okay? I mean I only have one C+, but I am still very worried.

Are 4 Bs okay? 5 Bs too much? 10 Bs way too much? 15 Bs an auto rejection?

how much will a c in a required freshman theatre elective count against me if i apply for PLME? (I am a pretty bad actor)

it wont hurt that bad unless it comes down to like you and one other persona nd they got an A...otherwise dont worry so much about it!

but the rule as of the Ivy League Admittance Rulebook is, "If thou haveth more then four B's, then he who is guilty of such crime shall be Rejected"

I'm guessing the theater elective won't count for anything. I couldn't imagine how it would factor into anything, even a tie breaker.

Andrassy -
I dont know where you got that rule, but it is definately not true. I know three people who got into Brown alone who had over 4 Bs and I know people who got into other Ivies with more than 4 Bs. It depends more on what a B means in the context of your high school.

he was being SARCASTIC!

"He who knoweth not what sarcasm is shall never stroll through the gate of an Ivy League institution." -Ivy League Admissions Rule 143

lolol sarcasm my friend
