Maximum transferable units from cc.

Hi gang,

Anyway, I know this topic is leverage of meaning.. .since different schools may treat the numbers differently because of different reasons... lol, anyway.

For example, I cannot remember the exact # now, but say that for UCLA, you can transfer over a max. of 1xx in semester units toward graduation. What exactly does this mean? Does it mean that you can transfer over whatever the heck # of units you desire, but that only a certain number will be designated for degree objectives.... Well does this have something to do with any given school's residency req's?

Please explain... Thanks! :) :)

I transferred in 71 credits from CC to Kent State. Usually you need a certain number of Upper Division credit hours (36-42) before you can graduate with your Bachelors. Anything beyond this I assume can be taken at a community college, if there is a direct transfer course available.

60 is probably the most common number.

Please look this up. This has been covered many, many times.

Thanks for the help. I'll look it up, indeed.
