Maximum Units at Community College before Transfering?

Hi, I'm trying to transfer from Pasadena City College to a UCLA or USC.

I was wondering if there's a unit limitation on how many units one can take at a community college. I know that you can only transfer 70 semester units but I'm not so sure if you can take.... maybe 100 semester units? What I'm trying to do is I'm trying to boost up my GPA by taking easy A classes.

Are you sure that grades transfer? Sometimes the credits transfer but not the grades, for just this reason

Mmm what I heard was they just average all the transferable grades but only allow you take 70 units.

Have you visited the transfer office at Pasadena City College? They should have all of the information that you need right at their fingertips. After all, it is their job to get you safely out of the Community College and into one of the UCs!

Wishing you all the best.
