May '07 - Math Level 2

How did you do? Did you skip any?

How will the curve be, what do you think?

Not sure if I can ask, but is it hard?

Oh my gosh, the real SAT Math Lvl 2 test is NOTHING like the Barron's. There wasn't a single question relating to vectors (a few on solid geo), or any hard probability questions ..

But I only started to prepare in April and I think a month or 2 of more preparation would've been helpful, for me. I skipped 6, guessed on about 2 ~ 6 questions.

I kind of want to cancel my score because I don't think I'll get an 800 and Math Lvl 2 is supposed to be one of the easier SAT's to get a perfect score on. But my friend skipped 8-10 questions last Jan. and she got 800.

well your friend lied, I skipped 2 and got at most 3 wrong and I got a 780

I think I skipped only one but probably got some at the end wrong because I was panicking about time. What was the question with Sin A/Sin B = 3 with the similar triangles? I had no idea how to figure that out.

Questions I skipped

2 similar triangles, where sinb/sina was 3, lengths were 6 and 9

parallelogram, last question, lengths of 50 and 75, angle of 45 degrees

probability of a distance less/equal to 1 from the origin, choosing from x = -1 to 1 and y = -1 to 1, picking an x and y at random

Anyone get any of these?

-Parallelogram -I used the law of cosines to find the diagonal
-Probability: the coordinates give the outline of a circle, draw a square around that, find both areas and divide

monkeyjoint, law of sines.

Are you sure? I thought they gave the sides of the parallelogram and the 45 degrees was opposite the diagonal.

sorry, i meant for the sinB/sinA = 3 one. and yeah, the parallelogram one is law of cosines.

btw does anybody know the answer to the problem with the graphs f(x) and g(x) and the relationship between them?

if we can't discuss answers yet, can someone please pm me then? thanks

i skipped 6
probably got 2-3 wrong...

what do u guys think the curve will be like?

Easy as hell...

I skipped 2 (ran outta time, didn't go back and re-do them).

i thought the test was really easy so the curve is prolly gonna suck :/

Ick. I thought some questions were really easy and some not even worth thinking about. I skipped 8...lol, I'll probably cancel.

wow i need ur opinion i left 8 blank, guessed on 2, made 1 educated guess, and made 1 eraser mark. should i cancel my scores if im shooting for schools such as villanova, binghamton, cornell, tufts, rpi, and bc?

and could someone tell my the sina/sinb problem cus i dont remember how the diagram looked

hey taking math 2 in june... not looking for answers but how hard did u guys think the test was

the answer was 3.

The test was pretty easy. What did every put for that weird graph with a rectangle in the middle and two lines sticking out? I think I put C, which was III only.

the boxplot?....im in AP stat so i thought that was fairly easy...i put E which was I and III but i was panicking...so idk if i got it riht

It was definitely E (I and III). I'm so happy- the test was easy! At most, I only missed about 2. That's still an 800, right?
