May 1st is apporaching fast...

Well, out of the 8 schools I've been accepted to, I've narrowed down my list to Bard, Quinnipiac, and UCONN (assuming that some stranger does not offer to give me his/her life-savings to go to college w/ no strings attached). These schools offered me the best financial aid packages. I would love to be in the city, but it looks like that's not gonna happen. I don't really want to go to school in CT, but w/e.

Preferences
Possible major: Chemistry
Class sizes: small
Professors: educated, good, available to students
School Size: small to medium; united student body
Needs: Mall; easy transportation to and from college
Diversity: lots
Curriculum: excellent, esp. for possible major
Facilities: Gym (would be nice) and a library
Financial Aid: more than half of tuition, books, etc...
-Bard: ~28,000
-Quinnipiac: ~12,000
-UCONN: ~6,200

Can anyone give me their opinions on where I should go?

sounds like Bard to me if oyu can afford it.

why do you suggest bard?

you want small classes at a small to medium sized college.

uconn is huge and you wont get small classes at quinnipiac

what about bard's distance from the city? Are you in college? Where? If you don't mind sharing...

Bard sounds like a good fit, but the chemistry program gives me pause. The program is small (four faculty members), but relatively few chem majors means you should have research opportunities. Quinnipiac is well-known for the health sciences, but it's not particularly good at getting students into grad school. For a small school, avoid U Conn (although its class sizes are small).

Thanks, looks like Bard is the place for me...
