yes thats the answer
the quote EXPLICITELY stated they demanded nothing more than "more equal rights" if it was the 1920's it WOULD say suffrage

juventus10 failed

juventus10 only got a 85/90 and cried about it all night =(

he wanted a 90/90 and he says he's considering canceling his score in order to get a perfect 800 in october (he plans to re-read the american pageant twice during the summer to be better prepared)

it did say something about suffrage in the very beginning...can't remember, but why would it be 19th century?

Was it really the beginning of WWII that got us out of the depression? I mean the BEGINNING? We didn't really start doing amazing production til like mid WWII but i picked that answer cause it was the only one tha tlooked right

well i dont think the woman quote said anything about suffrage. from what i read, it seemed as if the woman was "pleaing" to get at least SOME rights. by the 1920's, woman already did have some rights and they would be more radical i guess. in the early 19th century, the womans movement was just beginning to take root and so not a lot wouldve been asked.

and for the WWII qtion, the beginning of WWII was the right answer because the other ones didnt make sense. the effectiveness of FDR's New Deal is still being debated today and it caused the "roosevelt recession"

I also put that the women wanting to stand on their feet was the early women's rights movement. :/ In retrospect, I don't think it's right, but I'm glad to see that a lot of other people agree.

And the American economy sot up when Europe went into WWII. The US not only manufactured for "preparedness," but they also supplied the Allies with the Lend-Lease Act and such. It opened up jobs, etc. and the depression ended.

What did the South-East Europeans want?
The choices were something like:
-settle in rural areas
-high tariffs
-low tax
-settle in urban areas

I was choosing between settling in urban areas and low taxes, but I ultimately chose urban ares. That's where the jobs were, and I figured they had to have money before worrying about what to pay with it.

I omitted 2, so that means I can still get 6 wrong and have a raw score of 81 still. I know for a fact I got at least 4 wrong, so I think I'm in good shape! The sole reason why I didn't cancel my horrid Chem/Math2 grades was my maybe 800 on this.

i put urban areas because in the early 20th/ late 19th centuries, i remembered the corruption in cities with political machines and the way they "helped" but took care of immigrants and settlement houses.. so i said urban..

oh and to confirm the woman's movement quote, it was spoken by Sarah Moore Grimk

was the booker t washington one self help for economic and political gains?

Booker T. Washington was for a gradual integration where African-Americans worked to gain politcal, economic, and social equality through, primarily, vocational jobs. I don't remember the question or the choices exactly. :/

I know one of the choices was about the talented tenth and the other talked about gradual integration and vocational training ........but i chose the latter

Good, because Talented Tenth = DuBois...

yea i think the answer was A, gradual economic self-help and self-sufficiency before gaining complete political and economic equality

yupp i definitely put A

i did terribly...
-9 wrong (and more i bet)

what is that...? a 700?

apparently you guys did amazing. congrats.

oh, and what is considered a 'competitive' or 'good' score for the top 30 scores? if i have 750+ on all my SATIIs and a 2300+ SATI, do you think i'll be in the running? i'm really looking for a good chunk of financial aid/ scholarship money cause my family isn't made of gold and dollar bills when it comes to college.

thanks

never mind
-10 wrong
-6 omitted
raw 72. i hope that's it...

that's a 750....

lol, ye don't worry so much. the curve is generous

i just thought of another question...and i think this was on a test but i may be so confused now that this was actualy on a practice test, lol...but anyway, does anyone remember a question about where the majority of slavves were transported? originally i chose South Carolina, Maryland, and some other colony, but then i changed it to Brazil and the Carribean. ring any bells?
