I thought the test was hard :P

anyone?!?!?!??!

I concur, but it was made infinitely more arduous for me by the presence of a love interest. What are the odds? :)

Haha, I came in WAY unprepared. I got a good score on the CR on the SAT (740) so I assumed Lit would have the same kind of questions.

Well, today I found out it doesn't. lol

So yeah, it was very hard.

what's the curve gonna be like?

did you guys get melancholy for the woman's mood

I didn't discuss a specific question. :)

I don't think we're allowed to discuss specific questions yet.

I kept hearing it was hard so I took two practice tests last night and got an 800 and a 790. So I came in totally confident and, for the most part, I left pretty confident. There were some hard passages, especially that stupid poem about the playwright, but I think I did really well. :)

i thought it was realy hard. especially the poetry

It was average for me. The "author" poem was definitely the hardest though. I didn't know what was up with shakespeare at the end of it. All in all, I didn't think it was too bad, considering I didn't prepare at all (unless you count doing 10 practice questions on the collegeboard website).

However, for some reason, I finished with a ton of time to spare... like 15 minutes. That surprised me greatly, considering I'm generally a slow reader and test-taker. Not saying that means it was really easy, because I finished physics with only a couple minutes left, and I'm sure I did better on it. Still, quite strange.

Oops. I thought we could talk about it, since that Chemistry SAT II thread is discussing it like crazy. Can a mod edit my post? When can we talk about the test?

I used Kaplan (a tiny bit) and CB's big book. I got like a 740 or something on the CB test, and never finished a Kaplan test, but I got lots wrong on the Kaplan practice. So I was prepared for the difficulty, but I still don't think I did well. I hope I got at least a 730 or above!

Oh, what did people put for #53- the first one on the last passage where you had to match a rhyming couplet with the epitome of the passage or whatever? I think I chose the one about the flower smelling worse than the weeds.

did that answer actually talk about flowers smelling worse than weeds? I remember that answer choice but I don't remember it saying that. Thus, I chose a different answer. (I forget what it was)

princessbell: i chose that one too.

For the Dee/quilt passage, narrator most critical of her..hypersensitivity? i was debating between that or self-centeredness.

when are we allowed to talk about the answers?

I thought it was self-centeredness, because she didn't think about her mom's feelings or Maggie's and demanded she have it, and even physically stepped away from her mom when she tried to take it from her.

I remember not putting flowers and weeds as the answer, but I wasn't sure so you two are likely right.

Do you guys remember what letters you mostly answered for the obasam passage? I left it til last and ran out of time and randomly marked A for 3 of them.

What did you say for the poem about sleep, when the guy said "put thy poppy around my bed" or something, and it asked what poppy was.

I will randomly remember some more questions in the next few hours.

Hope everyone did well!

"princessbell: i chose that one too"

i chose it also

"did you guys get melancholy for the woman's mood"

what was the mood?
