May 2010 Math SAT Thread

obutto, no because they don’t all add up to the first digit.

was 8 letter C for the triangle one? cuz thats what i put

ahh dam, now i just realized all three were true dam
thats 2 wrong so far

Was it not 9540?

0 was not a viable choice based on III

^0 couldn’t be a number

robo.mind it was all three conditions. Answer was E. Also the question before that with the median was 26. The last question in the section was B^2 + B

I also got I, II, and III to be true.

Probably not b/c everyone is posting answers now.
btw…is there a posting for MAY SAT CRITICAL READING yet??

@robo.mind

What if one of the numbers was 0? Then II cannot work.

Did anyone have this question? (or was it experimental?)
2(a+b)+c=38
2(a+c)+b=40
2(b+c)+a=42
If each letter (a,b,c) stands for a side of the triangle, what is the perimeter?
A) 24
B) 36
C) 40
D) 60
E) 120

Yes median was 26 and the last one was E B^2 + b

Does anyone remember the question with the quadrilateral and a triangle was cut out of it and you had to find the area? Was it >91 or <91?

I normally do the best on math but this test really slayed me…I skipped like 3 and am unsure on 1-3 of them… Surprisingly the other 2 sections were easy… Sigh

obutto, it said in the question that x does not equal y
then 0 can not be one of the digits. They must be different

moneymaster, that question was experimental.

itsinreach, it can’t be 9540 because it multiplies to 0 and the question said that it was a factor of 10, but not 0.

Thanks sAxsKy…good thing it was…lol

Anything times 0 is zero. I think we’re talking about the wrong question. I’m talking about the one where everybody says its I , II, and III

area of quadrelateral was 105???
