May 2011 - Biology (E/M)

What'd you guys think ?

Extremely easy

I thought it was challenging for a test based on “a high school class”… thank goodness for ap bio! :)

Can someone tell me more about the difficulty? I’m at the testing center now and debating whether I should take it…

when is the embargo lifted??

12 noon, so wait til then

***… hardest thing I have ever taken. legit expecting a 550-600. it was so hard. had terms I have never heard in my life. I took the test before and got a 700 and I wasn’t even prepared. This test was 100 times harder IMO. last time i had 10 minutes leftover, this time couldn’t even finish all the problems. Ridiculous. I would cancel if it wasn’t for Math subject test

and I checked wasn’t just me, terms not even mentioned in Barrons.

is the embargo lifted now?? it’s 12 pm est right??

Yep yep 10char

Ok, assuming embargo is lifted… What’d you guys put for that molecule diagram?

I thought it was a lipid…

Okay, I put lipid too, but my friend insists it’s a protein because of the N x_x

me too
10 charrr

What was up with all those environmental questions?

they had like C3H6 or some molecule that acted as N… it was not nitrogen if that is what people assumed. I put lipid

Uh oh I hope not! Haha
I got confused on the ear lobe pedigree- was lady 1 heterozygous?

That was the first parent, right? Yeah, I think I put heterozygous.

what was the one about the virus making new diseases??
I put 1, 2, and 3!!

there was also the one about ray finned fish and lobe finned fish!!
I also put 1,2, and 3 for that!!

the molecule was definitely a lipid, it was a phospholipid from the plasma membrane. also, two things- the diagram with the plants underwater- which pigment would have the most effect? and did anybody taking the molecular section really get screwed up on the last few questions?
