May 2011 International curves?

Any predictions? Any clue?

I guess there is only one curve. For all students. I can guess from 750+ above in all three as: Maths (-2), CR (-4), Writing(-3).

That’s pure guessing. What are your predictions?
I’m wish I’d score 2200+ fingers crossed

How much do the curves change from test to test?

There is no pattern. It really depends on the difficulty of the test that day. It’s not as if some numbers are alternating regularly.

My prediction is that for 800 the curve will be:
CR -3/4
WR -1/2
M -1

Math this time was exceptionally easy, but I can’t say the same for the reading.

I am really hoping to get something in the 2250+ range…

I don’t think math ever has a curve.

I think it’s more like:

CR -2
WR - 1 (if you have 11 essay)/2 (if you have a 12 essay)
M - 0 (but hopefully hopefully a 1) >_<

Math may have a curve. It has happened in the past. Up to -1 is what I have seen as max. Maybe -2, but the test must be brutal and that’s not the case here at all. So either -0 or -1. I am thinking -1 because I saw a problem that has probably challenged most of the students sitting the test today, yet I am not sure.

And critical reading can easily get up to -4. In fact, most of the tests I have seen will be -3. I have never seen a -2, to be honest.

The writing…yeah. Depends on the essay.

-3 or -4 for Critical Reading? Hmm.

Would today’s Cr be considered harder than usual, easier, or average? I’m generally quite good in that section so I can’t really make a good judgment.

I normally do between 700-800 on the Blue Book tests…from my prospective - harder. More like towards the -4 end, but could well be -3. I doubt A LOT that it will be less.

I thought the math was harder than any of the blue book ones.

I typically get perfects from blue book; as far as I know, I got two wrong on this test.

math had many trick questions and if you look at the math discussion there a questions where half say one thing and the other half say another thing so i don’t think to many people managed to get through it without a mistake. hopefully a mistake will give you an 800 but the curve might afterwards fall quickly since in general it was easy.
