May 2011 SAT CHEM

How many CE did you guys get on the T/F section?

Sent from my SCH-I500 using CC App

probably 3? how about u

i got exactly 3 :)

those balancing problems are huge time consumers. how long until we can discuss?

Wow I had to work so fast on this test. I was blazing through the entire time, and finished just 5min early. Hopefully got above a 750.

I thought this test was way harder than the PR and Kaplan practice tests I took. My first Kaplan test I got a 710, then I did PR and got a 730. My second PR test I got a 800 (only missed 1 – skipped 0). When I do the tests I usually finish 30 min early, but I guess I was more cautious taking the real thing and didn’t have time to go back to 7 problems. So that’s 7 skipped and idk how many wrong :(. I like triple checked my answers for the other problems during the test out of paranoia, but it screwed me over.

Do you guys think the curve will be larger than usual? This test was more difficult.

I thought the test was fine except for the ■■■■■■■■ T/F section. I got like 6 CEs… but idk.

i think the curve will be very small since it wasn’t that difficult–everyone that i know that took it found it decent

So is it a generally agreed upon consensus that there were 3 CEs?

I got around 5 :S Were two of them in a row?

I got 3 too

Sent from my SCH-I500 using CC App

I have 3 CE  YAY
and yes two of them in a row.

I thought it was really long…only had like 5 min to re check answers

I found that test pretty hard…mostly cuz i suck at chem. I got 3 CE’s too.

yeah i got 3 and two in a row

Okay the embargo’s lifted, the one with it being non polar because it was linear, was that a ce?

I put CE /: Not too sure though.

No, not all linear molecules are nonpolar

Yeah, I didn’t put CE…

Wow that was such a long test… much more stoich+balancing than expected

what was the deal with the uncertanty question

@harvard76 - no idea… i just picked the graduated cylinder since the uncertainty seemed to be pretty big compared to the 7.6, but that could be completely wrong

Just a question about the general format—for the CE portion,
is it possible to get a False for the first part but True for the second? (Like the first statement was false, but the second statement was true?)
Or is it where the second statement has to PROVE the first and even if it’s true, if the first is wrong, the second has to be wrong as well? That was kind of confusing for me

Thank you!
