the question asked: are all diatomics linear? and the answer is yes (True). and i’m fairly certain it was CE.

For the diatomics question i put CE also

yeah i put ce for that one too

^All diatomics are linear, but that doesn’t prove that they are nonpolar. I felt that they needed to add a line saying that the atoms have the same EN, and thus the diatomic mc’s are nonpolar. Then again, I don’t know what the CB expects us to deduce.

well the curve will prolly be good seeing as how an 800 is like a 95th or 96th percentile.

If the second part is a partial reason of why the first part is true, then are you supposed to put CE or not? I hate that section…

and what about that question where it gave like 22.4 l of h2 and 02 and we needed to find moles of h2

God I’m taking it in June. Nervous wreck.

@harvard76, 22.4L = 1 mol of gas at STP.
Since O2 was .5 mol, H2 had to be .5 mol as well.

ok i have a question
if I think I did not do well on the test, should I cancel it?
I’m not sure but probably 680~720 I guess.
Why do some people talk about cancellation
can’t i just send my best score to college?

What did you put for the questions where the HCl was dropped into the water?

whats the curve for chem

that was T T CE…HCl is strong acid ==> sort of like electrolyte so it can conduct electricity.

it depends. of the two blue book tests ive seen one had a 81/85 as an 800 while another had 77/85 as an 800.

I also put T T CE for that one

^^ same

are there guessing penalties for the sat II’s?

I don’t really remember, but I think i had T T CE for the diatomic/linear question

ok good thats what I had.

For the question:

X2 is diatomic. X2 is linear.

I only had T, T, because some linear molecules are polar (H-Cl)

In total I had about 3 T T and 5 T T CEs (roughly). Also, I had two pairs of two TTCE’s in a row.

^ high-five I had the same answer. This gives me hope haha

Edit: to post 37

yea there was a question like that on the USNCO
