As the test is a mere two days away, I figured we could use a centralized thread for discussion.

How are you all preparing? I just finished the instructional portion of the Barron's SAT II book, and I plan to take as many practice tests as possible between now and Saturday morning.

Also, what are you shooting for? Ideally, I hope to get an 800, but I'd be happy with anything 780+.

I hope to get a 800 as well. I have just finished the Princeton Review! Hoping that I will be able to answer most of the questions confidently on the day of the test.

Im taking the Physics, Chem and Math-2 tests tomm form India. I’m also aiming for 800 on each lol. I did Physics from Princeton Review and got a 740 and a 770 on the practice tests. I did Chem from Barrons and got 720-760 on those. And I did Maths from Barrons and Mcgraw Hills and I got 700-800 on those?

Just want to ask, what do you guys think? Am I good? Can I expect to get 800 on each or what?

hey what raw-scaled curves are you guys using? The Barron’s curves are ridiculously soft compared to the one in the blue book. The annoying thing is that I got the same number of questions wrong on the official practice test as on the Barron’s practice tests.

I think Barron’s uses a lenient curve because its tests are a bit harder. But I’m not totally sure. Anyway, my plan for today is to take 2-3 practice tests and review them. Let’s do this!

I thought this was considerably harder than the blue book practice test, but still not bad. I had 4 TTCEs and there was this crazy chain of D’s at one point. Anyone have the same thing?

Oh my god. I’m sure I did fine and it’s just me freaking out, but how many questions were there? Like what was the number of the last question? I stopped at 70 and didn’t check to see if there was a stop signal and oh my god what if there were more I didn’t answer.

uhh no Becca, you’re fine. There were total 85 questions. 1-23 were multiple choice, then 101-115 were TTCE and then 24-70 were again multiple choice.

This was considerably more difficult than I expected. I rushed through the last 5 questions in a minute and probably made a mistake or 2. I also had 4 TTCE and a string of Ds.
I guessed on the last question without looking at it, was it C? I put sucrose as not smelling, is that right? My second guess was Cl2. Someone else help me remember difficult stuff.
