May 2013 SAT II Chemistry

im gonna retake in june

if i get below a 720 i am gonna retake in june. good idea?

So, I omitted two questions

I think got the following wrong:

 • equipment required for heat change
 • combustion products have always lower entropy (I put false) – IDK about that
 • KMT question
 • accurate volume question (it was the volumetric pipette)
 • supersaturated solution question (concentration doesn’t change is the answer)

wow did pretty bad after all!

First of all, combustion reactions are exothermic (first part F). Second, it talked about enthalpy, not entropy. It was T for the second part (products less heat content than reactants).

I remember one of the T/T/CE questions talked about neon.

Beta particles are negatively charged, so they would bend towards the positive side while positively charged alpha particles would bend towards the negative sude… Right?

Ya… you’r right. Wow I misread it as entropy…

Right.

10char

Anyone remember the answers to the lab tool questions?

Can we discuss the T/F/CE questions? Did anyone else get T and F (or the other way around) consistently for the first three questions?

ya…got T F alot of times. Was the electroplating one T,T?

Yes ^

and for the KMT problem it said that the Kinetic Energy is the same not the Average Kinetic Energy which would be wrong then

Is there a chat for this subject test?

what tool would u need to transfer solid NaCl? can someone also confirm the answer to the pressure of gas (750-30)?

was the first lab tool question a pipette or E? I thought E wasn’t a burette b/c im a dumbass…

What about the KClO3 problem? The t/f about the oxidation reduction was it t/tce

it was T,T,CE… E is a volumetric pipette not a buret. what did u get for the tool needed for solid NaCl?

@tacobff the redox t/f (last one) was t,t,ce

@tacobff for that t/f question i said F F because it was a simple single replacement question right?

the c i think, its a metal thing that is curved

@justin5585 But the oxidation states were changing.

single replacement is a redox reaction though
