Some other answers I got: Dawes Act, Monroe Doctrine, John C. Calhoun, Missouri senator who wants both Maine and Missouri as free state “Californy quote”
What about the black migrants? I think I put labor unions b/c I didn’t think unions admitted blacks
yeah i put blacks too for the labor unions
what did people put for the Patrick Henry quote?
Yeah I put the same thing.
For the Fred. Douglas one I didn’t choose that they depicted the lives of slaves because it said “TRUE” accounts. I chose B, that they raised Northern opposition. What did everyone else put?
Also, what did you guys put for the 3rd questions, the block of text ? I put TJ and the Louisiana Purchase
What was the question about the treaty? Are you referencing the Teller Amendment about Cuba?
@MALABARCOAST2014
@gaver456 I put the same answers for both questions
I put Thomas Jefferson but not sure. Was the Native American one that they had already established commercial fur trapping?
I checked for the uncle toms cabin and the narrative of Frederick Douglass question. Both answers could have worked (depicting lives of slaves, helping fuel the abolitionist movement)
Or was it that they grew maize/vegetables.
Was it Andrew Jackson or Calhoun for the Patrick Henry quote?
I said Calhoun because the Patrick Henry quote was all about states’ sovereignty.
- Missouri senator who wanted to admit the 2 states as union? 2. Native American corn/fur trapping before Europeans?
What do you all think the curve will be?
Was one answer GI bill/Veteran loan?
@fireonice I believe so but don’t remember the question
@thestruggle14 it had to be fueling the abolitionist movement, as uncle toms is not a true story
@fireonice I put the fur trapping, because I’m pretty sure Maiz was grown in mesoamerica. While it could have made its way up, I’m pretty sure they wouldn’t have tested a “could be” situation.
roger williams treated the natives right…which is bad for me bc i second guessed myself and put john winthrop
