***May 2016 SAT (US Only) Thread***

This is a thread for anyone considering to take the SAT on Saturday, May 7, 2016 in the United States.

Use this thread to discuss preparation tips. The registration deadline is Friday, April 8, 2016.

After the examination, you may discuss test questions, but do so at your own risk. Do NOT, however, post links to Google Docs, as they will be removed. On a similar note, do not ask for them either.

Good luck!

Chinese test-prep companies have used March’s SAT thread to leak information about the new exam. Try to refrain from discussing specific questions of this exam on this thread, as it fosters cheating, especially since many of these exams are reused internationally.

Writing was easy. Maths was okay. Reading was maybe a bit hard.

There were 1 or 2 tough maths questions. So the scale may read like 800, 800, 790, 780… or something like this.

What would be a good conversion technique from 2400 to 1600 scale though?

1510 the new 2300?

I agree with FlyingAnon. Writing was easy. I found 2 hard questions in maths and reading was a bit hard. All in all, it was a bit easier than the official practice test. I am worried about maths though. I didn’t find it that difficult but I finished about 5 mins earlier. Does that mean i screwed up?

Not at all. 5 minutes isn’t that much in Non-calculator section. You should have rechecked answers in that time.

Does anyone know when the scores for the May and June SATs are released?

For the May test the result will be released on June 15th.

Wow that’s much faster than the results for the March testers.

REMINDER - DO NOT SHARE SAT TEST QUESTIONS:

Thank You!

^ why not delete the thread altogether?

jesus the last two on the open ended math, calculator allowed, were terrible

About the Salinity percentage?

@Bkbabe What date did the March results come out?

@londondad I think it will come out on 10th May. It hasn’t been released yet.

Was there more than one version given this time too?

From what I’ve heard so far there were more than one version. May even be more.

This is the first SAT I’ve taken. I’ve done practice tests on Khan Academy and I’ve found them to have an average difficulty. The Math portion of this test seemed harder than on the practice tests in my opinion. However, I found the reading easier on the test versus the practice tests
