hey what was the answer to one of the last math problems, the one with increasing digits between 4000 - 5000?

and the one with the harvest of grain? what's the median of an even number of things? it was like 200,300,300, 400, 600, 600 i think

4000-5000

4567
4568
4569
4678
4679
4789

therefore, the answer was 6

was therbere another way of solving it??

the median was 350
only 400 600 qnd 600 are above it

the total number was 1600

the first one is worng... i forgot to include more numbers

I think that actually it was 10 not 6..

4567
4568
4569
4578
4579
4589
4678
4679
4689
4789

Writing this post, I found out that I was wrong :[ (my answer was 7)

And so it is.. I hoped to receive 800.. but today I didn't fill in 3 answers and I know that I've made 1 mistake :[
I think that these tasks required quite much time than the preparation tests from the Collegeboard SAT Practice Book...

yeah i got 10 also, and 1600 on the other one...i guessed that it was 350 so i added the 400 600 600.

anyone remember a question from the writing section
where it had choices like..
a) by which
b) in which
c) according to which...
etc
anyone know what the answer is?

and did anyone have an answer as strident
for their sentences completion?

oh..and for the math problem, i got 10 too

if anyone wants to just post up
random answers they remember from the test
itd be really helpful

thanks

yeah i remember the strident one, except that wasnt the answer...i think it was melodious

does anyone remember the last multi-choice before the fill in's began
number 8
it asked what the angle had to be, given the three sides of like 3, 4, and 6

aer087630: I think the answer to that writing problem was whereby.

Does anyone remember the Error ID question where the sentence began with something like "Not particular in nesting places?"

I found out I got it wrong while writing the post also!

noradx: "Does anyone remember the Error ID question where the sentence began with something like "Not particular in nesting places?"

I'm not sure but I marked "in", as in it should be "of".

thatthingyoudo: Yep, angle had to be greater than 90 because its hypotenuse was to big to be that of a right triangle.

aer087630: I remember that one!! It had me stumped. The question was something like "blah blah is a technique 'in which' copper is blah blah.

I marked "whereby"

CR and writing was relatively easy this time, and I'm pretty sure I aced the math part. I'm glad the reading passages were actually enjoyable to read.
-entomology = study of insects...woo!
-I couldn't come up w/ the word which described someone who lived an easy life who gave money to charitable...chose pundit...looking it up now...NO!! stupid word...
-only one math question had me stumped for longer than 3 min. It was that one, which expression would allow you to find the value of t. The question was, "The first number is twice the second, the first and second add up to 180, and the third is 30 less than the second."
Answer should be "3(t-30) + (t-30) = 180".
-Another one that was tricky was the one with the variables 'a' and 'b' and the difference between them was more than 100...remember that? yeah, III said abs(a) x abs(b) > 100. WRONG! One of them could be 0 so that would cancel that one out...tricky. Caught that one when checking my answers.
-Hmm, what else is there...oh yeah. There's that one where I didn't get. Something with the politician and him having only one view. Forgot what I chose as my answer. It was a two word fill in the blank question.

I can't recall any questions from the math part right now, but if you guys mention it, I'll be able to give you the correct answer.

Lucky that it said "INTEGERS." I didn't realize it said that, so I picked numbers like .1 for a and 1000 for b, which would give you 100 and not a number >100. YAY!

i wrote 60<x<90 for the angle one

I think the answer for that one was 'ascetic'

I had fun writing the essay, then again..I would've thwack myself if I wasn't able to do it after writing a million essays for the AP english lang class -.-

The passages were really enjoyable. I particularly liked the one about the writer who made random notes on her notebook and then couldn't really remember why she had written them.

hmm, I don't seem to recall that particular one...
The passages that I remember reading were:
Two poets
Cheetah
Paintings through dif. perspectives

Missing anything else?

edumacatedg00d: -Hmm, what else is there...oh yeah. There's that one where I didn't get. Something with the politician and him having only one view. Forgot what I chose as my answer. It was a two word fill in the blank question.

I put down "zealous...partisan"

Ah the cheetah one was so hard to read....They chose the boring ones for last. That didn't do any good...I was starting to get brain dead by then. Had to read that passage more than once.

And the writer one started with the description of an old woman at a diner, talking about "Estellas" or something like that

Yeah, the cheetahs passage was frustrating. I was completely zoning out by section 7.

What exactly did bleak mean, in the cheetahs' bleak genetic makeup? Discouraging?

I don't remember the choices for that question. But I remember I related it with the fact that they were saying the cheetahs had a low survival rate.

I'm glad the last sections were shorter time wise though. I don't think I could've taken another 25 min math section.
