Who thinks that coping and writing down the agreement on the back of the SAT booklet in cursive is unnecessary?

I think they only ask for that so you can be held responsible if you are caught cheating in any way…I mean, just an extra safety measure to make sure they can punish you if you’re caught.

I am not 18, so I can not legally be bound to any documents cause I am a minor…

what if you did not write it in cursive :p

I forgot how to write "F"s. Our proctor had to walk a few kids through it. :P

I wrote the whole essay in cursive…

The essay wasn’t supposed to be written in cursive was it? They didn’t say - even though the agreement was to be written in cursive.

bump - anyone?

I think you’re technically not supposed to write the essay in cursive because most people’s cursive will give the readers a headache. They’ll make reasonable attempts to read it, but you’re more likely to have an illegible essay (I think that’s a score of 0) if you wrote in cursive.

I took me forever to write that thing -__-, it took me an extra line too -.-

Good - no I didn’t write it in cursive - I was just worried because of the agreement needing to be in cursive - doesn’t seem to make much sense to me.

Completely agree that it’s unnecessary. First of all, why in cursive? Second of all, why can’t we just sign our name there or something like a real contract?

When I took my test, the proctor wrote the whole thing on the board so the students could copy it. I didn’t even look at the sample she gave us. I just scribbled the words really messily so it would look somewhat like script.

it’s used for handwriting analysis in case you’re suspected of cheating. but anyways if you are caught cheating they cancel your score and you take it again.

What if I didn’t full write it in cursive?

I’m not sure how sad I should be that nearly everyone at the test centre I went to needed help with writing in cursive…

I think that it is a bad idea for us to write that statement in cursive. First they want us to write an essay in 25 minutes, now they want us to write in cursive?? It is totally unfair.
