May 9th UCSD Transfer Admit Day

Bored of LA…need something new =)

Ive been living in Santa Cruz for two years now… La Jolla cant be more boring than this place

yeah, better than santa cruz but SD is not better than SF imo…

eh I like SF but I’m not in love with it

i am a girl from thousand oaks who grew up in la jolla.
easy homeslice.

So how was it?

It was fun. I had a good time. Left home at 5:30 and arrived at 7:30. Free parking. Cool morning. Lots of students with their families. Entered Ballroom at Price Center, ate food and campus official + graduating transfer student talked. We separated into our colleges, visited our colleges(I was in Sixth) and the staff at Sixth talked, gave a little orientation about practicums and classes. After all that there were booths we could go to to sign up for clubs, get info. Lots of free food depending on where you were and what time. Faculty and students were nice, some of them were pretty cool. Talked to a student who did did a study-abroad program in Ghana. Lots of free pens. UCSD PepBand played in front of Price Center. Saw a free concert at the newly opened Prebys Concert Hall. Amazing architecture inside btw. Ate some more free food. Took a little tour to the Village at Torrey Pines transfer housing, Geisel Library and took some pictures. Bought a UCSD shirt at the Bookstore.Transfer students I talked to were nice. Good atmosphere overall.

It was fun, I loved it. I’m missing the school already :)

Glad you guys had fun! ;D

I went to Sea World, hahahaa!

i didnt get any free food  but it was fun

glad you all enjoyed. wish I could have gone!

did anyone stop by the KSDT radio booth?

man I miss UCSD weather. :)

the weather sucked? it was only clear for a few hours

yeah that’s what I mean. The beach overcast makes for very mild weather.

Weather wasn’t that bad…better than having a freakin hot day since we had to walk so much

Get used to the walking. You’ll be doing a lot of it.

Unless… you wanna be lazy and bring a bike or a skateboard…

Haha not complaining about the walking, but if yesterday was like LA few days ago (90 degrees…) it wouldn’t be fun…

mission beach would have been a lot more fun. still some nice bikini bodies out there though. I was surprised to not see more bikes on campus considering how spread out all the buildings are.

i brought my skate yesterday, and was riding it all day

I had a good time, was definitely impressed with the faculty and campus. I’m looking forward to attending in the fall.

Yea the weather wasn’t amazing but I love the coastal weather a lot so I’m excited
