Hello, I want to try to get into Stanford University.
I am an international student (from Kazakhstan, Russian is my mother language), currently in my second year of studying animation in Canada , so I want to transfer to other schools with Math major. I got 1220 SAT score (R&W 500 and M 720) . I already took one more test and waiting for results, also I am planning to take one more.
My GPA, from current college, is not that high (maybe 3.4), however, high school GPA is equivalent to 3.9.
I am planning to submit my art portfolio, sample - http://uriyaxd.artstation.com/. I will submit other drawings, more recent, which are not displayed in this link. I was thinking to submit more observational drawings.
Is there any possibility that art portfolio may influence my application since it is completely irrelevant to Math.
Stanford only accepts a couple dozen transfers each year. I suspect some of the transfers may even be recruited athletes. Your gpa and test scores make it extremely unlikely that your art portfolio will even be considered. I’m afraid Stanford is not a realistic transfer option for you. There are plenty of other good schools to study math. You will probably need to look at schools outside of the top 25 though. Best of luck!
I am definitely not planning to apply only to Stanford, just want to know my chances .
thanks )
I don’t know the answer to your question, but just wanted to say I love your work! Good luck in the transfer process.
If it is something not pertaining to your major, then it will not support you.
