May God help me

I'm not applying to any colleges yet because I have just begun my Junior year, but I'm in a state of serious disheartening because I have only just realized that its impossible to get into ivies without the "desire" to help kids in africa and stuff like that

I have yet to pay any interest to college because I always 'well I'll go wherever', not 'where I can get the best education' and I had no idea about what I'd like the best. So until the end of last year, that is how my life went and I just slacked off with average grades and practically 0 EC's. I don't know what to say here, but what I am looking for it some kind of reassurance that I can make up for my failure in in Junior year? I can get high grades, but I don't know if anything will get me into Vandy or Stanford if I don't cure cancer and write bestselling novels- in fact I'll copy and paste some of the weird stuff that has caused me to go into a state of intense panic:

i just read this one too its so scary this girl did everything i read about… she maintains superb test scores, she is rank 2 in her class… she is a somewhat minority… she focuses on specific extra curricular and takes them farther… there’s nothing she could do better yet she got rejected by all the ivies?

What do you want to know? If you will get into Ivies? What are your credentials?

idk im just mad

why cant i delete this stuff that i already posted like an hour ago

Duke is practically an ivy so its solid for the first post

2nd post: 2nd doesnt mean much out of context. for example, at her school, maybe only the top 3-5 get into ivies every year. at my school (class of approx 150) we send 1-2 harvard, 1-2 yale, 1-2 princeton, 1-2 stanford, 2-3 dartomuch, 2-3 brown, 2-3 columbia, 3-4 penn, 5-7 cornell, 1-2 williams, 1-2 amherst, 1-2 duke, etc. last year, 15 kids were accepted to cornell because our public school has an insane rep. The stats above are our attendeances so the ppl accepted is likely higher at each school. in a bad year, 20 get into top schools, in a good year 30 get in. so basically, her salutatorian doesnt hold tht much weight
also she had literally no leadership in her community and being asian hurts a lot.

It’s not clear what you you want here. You’re mad because you slacked off for two years in high school and woke up one day and decided you were Ivy League material? Yea, it’s probably too late for you to get into the Ivies for undergraduate work in today’s environment. Get your grades up, go to a good state school, get top grades and then get your master’s degree from one of the elite universities. There’s always a second chance!
