Harvard
Yale
Princeton
Stanford
MIT (EA)
Columbia
Caltech (EA)
Northwestern
UNC Chapel Hill
UCB
JHU BME
UPenn
UChicago

(Don't worry I have safeties)

You’re a definite Ivy candidate. Admissions for Ivies are hard to pin, but really, you have a great chance.
And you’re probably in for the other non Ivy schools, too.

seems like a ■■■■■… but i’ll do it

Harvard - low reach
Yale - high match
Princeton - high match
Stanford - low reach
MIT (EA) - high match
Columbia - match
Caltech (EA) - high match
Northwestern - low match
UPenn - match
UChicago - low match

I say you are accepted/waitlist to everything except HYPS.
MIT and Caltech are set and lock because of your mathematical prowess. Would have been better if you made USAMO, but I understand.

Chance me?
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=1165758

You are the best candidate I’ve seen on CC in a long time. You are going to have no problem with acceptances!

I say you’ll get accepted into every school. BUT, you have to remember that the ivys and other really-up-there colleges are crapshoots. Anything can happen. So for Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Stanford, MIT, Columbia, Caltech, UCB, and UPenn, you are an extremely well-qualified candidate and have extremely good chances, but like I said–it’s always a crapshoot. Perhaps a bit less for you since you’re SO qualified, but the possibility still exists.

Chance me back?
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1167793-chances-columbia-brown-cornell-nyu.html

Get at least to Intel or Siemens and you’re set.

Are you guys actually reading his ecs???

All American NFL standout, 2390, and intel siemens potential total bs

Not exactly; It’s perfectly possible.

Harvard - reach
Yale - low reach
Princeton - low reach
Stanford - low reach
MIT (EA) - low reach
Columbia - match
Caltech (EA) - high match
Northwestern - match
UPenn - match
UChicago - match
You’ll get into at least 2 or 3 of HYPSM, i just can’t say which.
Chance back?
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1166662-chances-wustl-uva-vanderbilt-w-l-wake-forest.html

Your stats are incredible! I think you have a great shot at MIT/CalTech/ Penn CAS/JHU/ and Columbia. Out of HYPS, you’ll probably get into two. My bet is Princeton and Stanford. All the rest, you’re definitely in. Good luck!

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1167721-please-chance-me-top-schools-like-wharton-harvard-i-will-chance-back-asap.html

@hindiboy and jd989898 I’m most definitely not a ■■■■■; this is my third chance thread and is merely an update of the previous two. Also, Academic All American only means I have 750 points and a gpa of 3.7; not something insane. Also, I simply said that I hope to achieve something for Intel and Siemens. I only say this because the person I’m working under said that there may be a chance for original research, and that the NSF has actually given this lab a grant specifically to allow high school students to do research work.

@The rest of you Thanks for your input and your kind words. Let’s hope the adcoms agree!

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1168613-chances-congressional-page-columbia-ed-will-chance-back.html

great chance everywhere you apply, you’ll get into at least one of hypsm etc…

You should have no troubles except for maybe HYPSM
Those are … Pretty hard to get into
Good luck!

Academics: Strong. Good SATs/ACT, good gpa…hopefully most rigorous course load. Is AP level language offered at your school?

ECs:ARML/AIME stuff is pretty good. Decent leadership, but otherwise kinda meh for HYPSM. Streamline your “Awards” section b/c it’s somewhat redundant, but I presume moderate success in those endeavors. Hopefully you can get somewhere with research.

The verdict: HYPSMC are still fair reaches. How competitive is your school (how many normally get into ivies?) You have much better chances at your other schools though. What’s your race/gender and location? Asian male would detriment you (if you were) but yous should be fine for the easier schools on your list.

My school doesn’t usually send kids to top schools… We’ve only had <10 go to a top school within the past five years. I am an Asian male (Indian, though I’m not sure that matters). What do you think I should remove from the awards (obviously I’m not going to just laundry list)?

Whoops sorry for the double post, but sadly, my school does not offer AP level languages. However, Latin IV (taken), Latin V and Spanish V are taken through universities, so I will get college credit if I get a certain grade (already have for Latin IV)

Your stats are awesome. I think you are definitely qualified, but most of the top schools are a crapshoot for pretty much anyone

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1169076-please-chance-me-ivy-league-stanford-duke.html

Terrific stats honestly, great applicant!

Harvard Yale Princeton Stanford - All reaches, but if anyone would get in it would be you.
MIT (EA) - Also a reach, but considering your background, I would say you are as good as in, but then again, it’s a crapshoot.
Columbia - Same as MIT.
Caltech (EA) - Same.
Northwestern - High? Match.
UNC Chapel Hill - Low Match - in.
UCB - Match, same as Northwestern probably, if not closer to UNC.
JHU BME - Not sure, probably similar to northwestern.
UPenn - Same as Columbia
UChicago - A little bit more of a risk than UNC, but considering your background I would say you’re probably in.

Harvard - good chance
Yale - good chance
Princeton - good chance
Stanford - good chance
MIT (EA) - most likely in
Columbia - most likely in
Caltech (EA) - most likely in
Northwestern - def
UNC Chapel Hill - don’t even bother…
UCB - def
JHU BME - def
UPenn - good chance
UChicago - most likely in

Please chance me back! And don’t worry about your school’s rep for not sending a lot of kids to top schools; a senior in my school (football for 4 years, class pres for 4 years, numerous hrs of community service, a 2 ON AP CHEM but 5’s on others, stellar rec’s and number 6 in his class, Asian male) got in to Harvard. Just work on your essay. And my school is not that competitive compared to other schools in the area.

Please chance me back!
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1169343-chance-me-please-macalester-oberlin-kenyon-gwu-american.html

With stats like that, if you don’t get into HYPS, then all hope in the world is lost.
