May I send parts of my application through mail if I choose to apply online?

I decided that I'll apply to most of the schools on my list online because it's 1/fast and 2/free. However, I'm confused because parts of my application definitely cannot be submitted online, including Teacher evaluations/recommendations, fee waivers, secondary school transcripts, and financial documents.
So can I submit only the Common Application online, and send each college a package that include materials listed above) through mail? Is this even considered "applying online", and is this what most students who apply online do?

Thank you!

yes.
i am doing that too

Those are definitely posted. The common app and supplements can be online. I did that. Though some schools have an online fee waiver.

thank you. I have 2 more questions. Most schools’ RD deadline is January 1. Does that mean materials must be received by Jan 1, or is it okay as long as the application packages are postmarked before that deadline?

Also, my official midyear report won’t be available until after January 1. what should I do? Would I have to send them other materials (teacher recommendations, financial documents, etc.) in advance, and wait until my transcript is out and send it to colleges one more time? (and that will be a lot of extra express mail fee!!)

Every year the common application rules change slightly. Please read those rules regarding sending parts by paper and parts online, to avoid problems later

For sending the teacher evaluations and the school report, where do you download the forms so that the commonapp ID appears on the printed materials?
When we download from the homepage through the Download Forms option the ID does not appear…does anyone know how to download forms with the IDs

I have the same question as cicatrix

Well that’s strange becauseI did just that, and the CommonApp ID came out just fine.
