May SAT 2011: Writing Section

This is the official discussion thread for the writing section.

thought it was much easier than march

3 e’s anyone?

If so, very easy

What was the Just as sprinting requires agility, so_______?

running marathons require endurance

I was in love with the Essay. I wrote about student dress codes and Same-sex marriage laws.

YESSS. k thanks. yea essay i put Huck Finn and MLK/civil rights O.o

Did you guys disagree with the essay? And what the last answer? The “and” or “or”

I disagreed and talked about womens rights and some other things

yea disagreed. do you remember the full question for the "and “or” one?

I had 2 no errors - I was debating whether “over x amount of years” should be changed to more than, since I saw it in my practice book. So i changed it - probably wrong. but otherwise, pretty standard and straightforward

Nope not really. It was the last question to the test on section 10.

Last one was “and” I believe. I don’t think you ever say, “between x or y.”

why dont i remember this question…

Is this the international may?

I think i got 3 No errors. Did anyone find an error for the one “would of worn” and should have been “would have worn”

Yup, put “would have”

yeah I got that cortana.

Writing section was great, that essay was soo much better than the March one.
I used Thoreau, Vietnam War, Gandhi. I’m hoping for an 800; all of the multiple choice questions seemed easy.

nice  i think i felt confident about the rest. The last few identifying sentence error questions were easy too. They were primarily subject-verb agreement errors

the ques about the exhaust smell like french fries was it smell or no error?
