May SAT CR Thread

@btang: that was harsh. this is a friendly cooperation work

btangbang,
I think you’re being too harsh; he was just voicing his opinion about the problem but may have crossed the line saying “Oh god. Let’s just hope you didn’t answer all of your question with this rationality.”

Thanks Matthew. If the passage truly said it, your answer is right.

sounditout. do you think that SC about woman and hideout ideas or some stuff like that was experimental? or section 3 of the test. I don’t even remotely remember that one.

Uh no, that wasnt harsh. Patronizing someone else for simply trying to rationalize their answer with this:

^Haha. Because the words complexity and math was directly in the passage, complexity of math is the answer? Oh god. Let’s just hope you didn’t answer all of your question with this rationality. "

IS harsh, i was simply defending that person.

@sounditout

@faith – commonplace/startling was referring to outbursts @ political rallies vs. scientific meetings

“also… what? are you actually saying that answers should not be found in the passages, but arbitrarily inferred? also, if you dont know what arbitrary means, thats how u use it”

Wait. You’re serious? You think that all the answers to the CR passages were found directly in the text ver batim? Oh boy…

“you’ve been wrong on every single section when you challenged everyone. shut the f up and stop patronizing people just cause youre sour for getting so many wrong”

Nice argument, bro. And I haven’t challenged much at all. And no one has proven me wrong yet except on a math problem. Do you have the answer key?

Guys, just drop it and let’s go back to trying to remember the question answers.

Oh, Boston, about “And no one has proven me wrong yet except on a math problem”, I think your answer is wrong for the Writing Section.

Didn’t that Mr. whatever want the guy to do research and write the thing? I don’t think it was collective…

I know this is not the place for math. however, I really need to know if the combinations of bread question was 4 or 5? I put 5, I do believe I made a mistake.

But the question with the rectangle on the grid with inscribed triangular shapes of variable sizes-- answer was 5?

yo, the f up.

You’re definitely wrong on the honey question. I dont mind you challenging answers, but your tone making someone else feel inferior is not something i will let go by unquestioned.

thanks xavier!
does anyone remember the sentence for nominal?

@ pratt, combination problem is 4.

“I think your answer is wrong for the Writing Section.”

@wang- A few people agree with me and a few people agree with you. That’s fine.

@matt- Nice argument.

@btang- He said that all the answers were found directly [verbatim] in the text. He deserves some sarcasm for that. It’s funny, because in the Writing section you just told me to shut the f up and move on. Try to practice what you preach.

@pratt i made the same mistake… idk what i was thinking

/math discussion

also,
the f up boston

How was it collective for the diamond passage?? The uncle (I think he was the narrator’s uncle) wanted the narrator to write the findings because the narrator knew the most about it. Right?

“also,
the f up boston”

You’re so intelligent, matt.

****. there goes my Math score. I won’t even be able to beat a 590…bread and 4-integer problem both missed just because of rushing. If that happened on the “easy” questions as well as those easy “hard” questions, I might have to take the SAT 3 more effing times cause I am sooo inconsistent.

By the way, anyone think a school like UVA would look down on an applicant who has taken the SAT circa 5 times but has a 2000 SAT score in-state?

I just find this amusing to read.
