The yawning one is informative. I also don't think the hunting mastodon thing was right..

i put informative because ireally didnt feel it was necessarily arguing something

Battlecruiser - I chose informative. How was it argumentative??!? lol..

I hated, HATED the archeology passage and the passage b4 that- the shopkeeper thing was funny... in a way..

i put the main tone of the yawning one was philosophical; and the two authors agreed taht there may never be an exact date when america was inhabited.

main tone was informative for yawning...

The yawning can't be philosopgical - It talked about the jumpers yawning and animals and all that mess, definitely informative

it didn't specifically said that they ate mastodons, instead the questions asked if they 'cited sources of food', which they both did.

As for the other question in debate, I am pretty sure the tone was more toward an argumentative stance. Granted this was a research paper, but the author is trying to disprove that yawning is always a symptom of sleepiness, and even at the end he suggests an alternative method to measure sleepiness. The author uses information to get to an end, which implies 'argumentative'

But in the second archaelogy passage, it had mentioned that the mastodons could not possibly have crampons to get over the ice, so therefore the Clovis couldnt survive as there would be no food.

Caliboi1313 - I chose the same one for the archaeological one but for the yawning one i chose informative...

there was more information in that passage than argument. In fact, if I remember correctly, the question before it had me go back and read all informative facts it had about yawning (stress, boredom, etc.)

but he cited salmons and fish as a source of food

the yawning one sounded like something that would be on a documentary, it seemed like the inability to use yawning was already extablished in the scientific community and the author was just trying to walk us through why it couldn't be used, therefore making it informative

Afterall, he did say that scientists now use the "how much time until you fall asleep" method, conveying the point that the yawning method was a thing of the past.

oh, and i think the answer to one of those questions was a pilot yawnin before he took off

Does anyone remember how to solve the one that was like (x-8)(k...)=x^2-8km or something like that. And it wanted you to solve for K?

Yea easton, that was an answer to one of them

The passage about sleep deprivation, what did you guys put the purpose was? I had discussion on the effects of sleep deprivation, though I was debating that and argue that students should change sleeping patterns.

Oh, and the one about coffee... was it unexpected or unnecessary?

oh yah I chose pilot yawning too... YAY!!! CR is turning betta than I thought... but I've screwed up the archeology Qs.

Overall I'm quite Happy with CR. I think I've just got 3 wrong in Math (but Im gonna miss out a 750 i wanted :( :( )

The one with the cube in the circle has a formula its the square root of L^2 + h^2 + w^2

Easton: I got 16=m

I think, but then again I remember something being equal to something over 8

I dont remember the answer, but for questions like these, always plug in values
