<p>I got a 790 on the writing section of the may sat 1. i got all of the MC right, to get a 49 raw score, but i only got an 8 on the essay!!! I am so mad. I guess i took the wrong position on materialism...</p>

<p>on the november sat 1, i got an 800 on the writing w a 49 mc once again and an 11 essay.</p>

<p>will colleges look at my 8 essay and will it detract from me then, even though it was from the lower scoring testing?</p>

<p>um if both were official, most likely colleges will take ur 800..but depends on how many times u took it..if u took it 2 times..they will take the highest of ur sections, so ur 800 will be what they look at...and if they see 790, they wouldnt say much...noone expects the students to get perfect scores on every section. (from wat i heard, seen, and read)</p>
