May SAT II Physics Discussion

oh yea definitely USD, those were such Quirky questions (no pun intended)

What is this USD you all speak of?

Up down strange quark and then it was like give a neutral baryon w/ strangeness 1

the question with the quarks it needed a charge of 0 mayb? the options were like UUD, USD, UDD, USS, DSS, stuff liekt hat

I it weird that I have no idea what that question was asking…? I skipped it.

why did u guys put sqrt (2h/g) x v, and not just h?

bc x = vt and h = 1/2gt^2 so t = sqrt(2h/g) and x = v*sqrt(2h/g)

damn, ur right, got that wrong

Well I said that the elevator was trajectory upwards and then down since it said describe the trajectory in relation to the building.

@skorpius, that is correct.

What did you guys get for the one with point p with the oscillating waves with same wavelength but different distance? I said the amplitude would increase…is there anything that wouldn’t make it destructive interference?

I left it blank.

Also back to the airplane one, it asked what the net force was . . . how were the choices worded?

@Abrayo, do you think the airplane q. was one of the graph questions in Part A?

hmm i don’t remember, but i still know it was 0.

Also, for the oscillating waves I also said amplitude increases (superposition (in phase)) but I could be wrong :x

[Making Sounds](http://www.antonine-education.co.uk/New_items/MUS/Making_Sounds.htm)

ctrl + f the term superposition

the airplane was just 0. I don’t think it matters how the choices were worded. The fact is that it wasn’t accelerating.

I’m just asking about the wording because I’m trying to remember if I saw it.
If it was a graph one, then it was the one with the zero slope right? (but not y=0, it was just parallel to the x-axis?)
Hopefully you’re right, skepticidal, and it was one of the graphs!

oh ok sorry about that. I don’t think it was a graph. that much I know for certain cause I laughed at that question.

mm great.
So would you happen to remember approx. what number question it was, or what the answer choices were?
Or even what other questions were on the same page?

Do you remember the question about the two sources s1, and s2, emitting wavefronts at a point p?

I put decreasing on either side of P.
