May SAT II US History 2012

yeah i remember the bullion thing in Spain from Euro

@blackhawkdown…Control F and it IS there: “The great rule of conduct for us in regard to foreign nations is in extending our commercial relations”

and Spain was first to colonize in NEW world. Question didn’t ask specificallya bout the NEW world…

i don;t think spain needed a market for manufactured goods but rather raw materials. therefore that answer was wrong.

what do you think the score would be if one got 14 wrong and omitted about 6 or 7.

No the first european settlement was by spain in florida
Someone back me up here…

Don’t understand …this is a us history exam not history of the north american continent. Gah

Yes, it is FLorida: “which became the first permanent European settlement” : [Spanish Florida - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia](Spanish Florida - Wikipedia)

@RedPassion, about 700-720

Guys, it’s definitely too early to talk about this. I just got out of my test, and there are people in the west coast just starting… They could easily search this during a break period.

[The First European Settlements in North America](http://www.socialstudiesforkids.com/articles/ushistory/firsteuropeansettlements.htm)

actually florida is right. :frowning: i put virginia :(

…ooh forgot about The west coast. My bad.

What is this bullion spain question??

anything else?

my bad deleted my posts. anyway all I have to say that was way to hard for the subject test. I thought it was harder than my ap practice tests. I’m thinking the curve must be really generous like twenty wrong is a 700. I hope.

@notnow123487
you talkin about raw score of 70, or 20 wrong as in raw score of 65?

Idk. Don’t remember any other questions.

Usually 5 or 6 omits with 14 to 15 wrong is around 700 though.

This test was not what I expected whatsoever.

how do u delete them?

What is the spanish bullion one?

@spkrap322 Bullion as in it mentioned the Spanish treasury in one of the answers.

what were spain’s motives to explore?

I’m guessing for me probably around a raw score of 62. This has to be a lenient curve with not many getting the pre colonial questions. I’m hoping that’s at least close to 700

I foresee a bigger curve than usual. When do we get our scores back anyway? I’m thinking 750-800 for me if things go well.

Lol why don’t I remember this question
Columbus’s motivation?
westward passage to asia. Hence his assumptions that the native americans were indians
