Its March 21st and I plan on taking the SATs in May. I've never taken it before, and I just started studying. do you think I could break a 2000 in one month, self prep? If there are any one month success stories, feel free to post your scores, and how you did it. Is there any plan to follow, like a study schedule or something?

You also have to take into account whether you are naturally intelligent or not. Maybe you find the math extremely easy and/or grammar is a strong point of yours. Some people can get a 2300+ in one sitting without any studying, and some can’t even break 1900 with extensive studying. It really depends on the person.

Buy the Second Edition Blue Book from College Board and Direct Hits Volumes I & II and you’re set in terms of materials.

Take the first BB Practice test, see you performed then go over every question, even the ones you got right.

From there it’s up to you, either read and do some practice from BB on the sections you feel you need to improve or keep on taking practice tests. Read through DH a few times and a 2000 should be a breeze.

by the blue book and do practice EVERYDAY (i’m not kinding) it gets ur mind used to focusing for hours on end which helps you last through the entire REAL sat

I heard that the second edition has errors, so I think the first edition is better.

^^ They included an errata in newer copies of the 2nd edition, so you shouldn’t worry about errors.
