I want to take Chem, Math II, and either US/Lit subject tests
I'm in AP Chem, APUS, and AP Lang right now, and also PreCalc H

Would taking the subject tests in May be better, since 2/3 of the tests correlate to the AP's that I'm taking (since it's near the AP exams), or should I wait until June so I will have learned more in PreCalc?

I had the same thing last year with AP Physics and Physics Subject Test. I signed up for the May subject test but ended up paying the approx. $20 to change it to June. That was only one subject test, and that’s money spent that I don’t regret. AP exam weeks are very stressful, so why add to that by forcing yourself to sit for another test (or in your case, three)? It’s not just that the subjects are the same; you also need to practice each test itself. That is to say, if you are studying for AP chem and SAT chem, you still need to take practice tests for both. IMO, the extra time to study and practice is very beneficial. So my advice would be to learn more in precalc and take an extra month to study for Chem + US/Lit. Besides, after AP exams are over, there really isn’t much to worry about in school, so why not use that time to study for subject tests?

Agreed. Don’t overload yourself with tests in the beginning of May. Besides, after taking the AP you have most of the material down solid and can focus only on seriously reviewing a few topics with which you’re not as comfortable.
